City run takes place in the surrounding of Ajdovščina. Besides the main idea of running, the outdoor running track provides to all participants the opportunity of greater connectedness to nature and perception of nature's beauty, being surrounded by the mountains and, thus enriching the experience while getting in touch with the old city core with well-preserved Roman enclosure. The runners will ascend the route which runs along less busy asphalt road and forest path up to the spring of the river Hubelj and continue their route along the river to head in to the city centre. The 10.800 m long running route, with 150 m height difference to overcome, ends at the Sports park of the Institute of Sport Ajdovščina.

After the payment of the entrance fee, runners will be provided with two snack bars, lunch and the swimming in the swimming pools as well as the childminding and the animation games for children. The participants of the May run will also be given souvenir T-shirts.
